Chinese characters' forming and evolvement take a long period, and the form was keeping changing, to put up the profuse vision modality. The progress of every era's spirit and civilization was exhibited by Chinese characters adequately.This thesis aims at the design mode which uses Chinese characters as main part element is some unsubstantial, and takes the design of graphical Chinese character be the main research, to make every effort to discuss the new idea and the potential development of the Chinese character' s application in the field of graphical design in the present age. Puts the Chinese character into the world macroscopic background and the development of every sort of characters, we can find that the Chinese character belongs to the glyph, the Chinese character development has the extremely clear vein and the rigorous system, the typeface evolution in different time has demonstrated the Chinese nation' s astonishing imagination and the creativity. From the angle of the graph, each kind of calligraphy style and typeface of Chinese character has its respective perceptual characteristic, which determines from its constitution element - - the elements which have the nature of graphics, which about the stroke modeling and the matrix structure. We can draw something from those that the relationship of the pictograph and graph of Chinese character is inseparable, therefore it' s very necessary and will be an enormous superiority that carries on the graphical design of Chinese character.The transformation and development of graphical character are the results of people' s continuous designation and creation. A great deal of graphical character works which come down from Chinese traditional culture had proven powerfully to us that the design of graphical Chinese character was feasible and had great potential, and would be a beneficial edification in the field of graphic design which could direct us to design graphical characters.To do this work under globalization tendency, on the one hand, it needs to integrate the modern design idea and pay attention to the requirement and dynamics of modern vision transmission, cause the design of graphical Chinese character experiences a modernized transformation; On the other hand, we still have to receive the spirit of Chinese nation, to pursue a higher level culture in a Chinese way.It is a process that the graph creativity sublimating of the Chinese character civilization with the evolving and creating again from the traditional glyph to the modern Chinese character graph. It is advantageous not only to the commercial promotion of modern internationalization, but also to the research and development of Chinese character itself.Finally, through analyzing the world famous designer's work, and combining my designing experience, the paper has discussed the innovation mentality of diagramming Chinese character in contemporary plane design.
