The otheris literature tradition, including the influnce of Hongloumeng and the inheriting and developingof Caizi-jiaren novels.At the beginning of Xiaxie novel's upgrade, there were mainly two important works,Pinhuabaojian and Fengyuemeng. These two novels were almostly born at the same time, andthey established the action for the development of those later novels, including the discription ofthe ways of the world and the human relationship, the attention of common lives, the open-out ofcomplex human nature, and the realism writing style.In the lator part of the 19th century, Xiaxie novel gradually became mature, and appearedsome mature works such as Huayuehen, Qingloumeng, and so on. They also showed out the authors' toleranceand comprehension to the complex human nature, so those novel have sone meaning about thereality, and showed out a kind of natural art style.After the Jiawu War between china and japan, many Xiaxie novel which were called"Instroctins about wenching" appeared in succession. These novels mainly diclosed the darknessof the whorehouse and the cheating relationship between prostitutes and wenching men. Therewere little new things in the stories in the books, and the story mode was similar, so these workshave no aesthetic feelings and lasting appeals, that is why we say it is the degenerating symbol ofXiaxie novel.
