Many love theories have pointed that there exist positive illusions in a dating relationship. That is to say, lovers always idealize their spouses and take their partners as the best ones. In terms of this phenomenon, though there are already many descriptions in the academic filed, yet some related theoretical and demonstrational researches are still seldom seen.Sandra L.Murray, an American psychologist, had studied this phenomenon and figured out a kind of Actor-Partner Interdependence Model to investigate these positive illusions existing in the dating relationships. In her theory, firstly, the lovers created many illusionary ideal images about their lover-to-be, thereafter they projected these ideal images onto their real partners, and then came the positive illusions. Thereby, these positive illusions can promote the satisfactions of both sides. The present research had studied 124 pairs of dating heterosexual couples who were asked to estimate themselves , ideal partners and real parters through a variety of interpersonal attributes. Taking the Actor-Partner Interdependence Model as the researching model and using the pairs-samples T test and structure equation model as the statistic method, the dissertation had discussed the construction and the influence of the positive illusion. The results:The positive illusion always happened at the first stage of the dating relationship and had positive effect on female's love satisfaction.
