Based on the text, the first charter analyzes multi-voice parts existing among the society and the works of Shen Congwen and Hardy, which are the traditional agricultural rural society, degenerated village under the impact of and capitalist industrial civilization, as well as the urban civilization taken as the essential background reference system. The second charter contrastively analyzes the harmonious main voice part among their works, which is the similarities and differences of the description about the nature, the human feelings and human nature in the traditional agricultural rural society, in order to embody the difference between western and eastern culture and the characteristics of national culture as well, and to describe the wonderful spiritual home for human beings. The third charter analyzes the opposition and conflicts of primary- secondary voice part. In the secondary voice part, the writers both describe the disaster and tragedy, which has brought to the rural society by the capitalist industrial civilization. It is shown that the cultural personality of Shen Congwen and Hardy is deeply influenced by their hometown culture. They both have a strong attachment to the simple agricultural hometown, but under the impact of modern civilization, and with the consideration of double eye sights and value criterions, their local world presents a paradoxical and decentralized state, which makes the two writers doomed to be spiritual loafers. The fourth charter is mainly about the reflections on the multi- voice parts. The final salvation by Shen Congwen and Hardy manifests the difference between the tradition of eastern and western culture, but both filled with the consciousness of sufferings and the sincere humane concern. In addition, their local novels have displayed people's everlasting local mood and the homeland complex, which is of enlightenment to the modern society to a certain extent.
