A Study On Cultivating Imagery Thought Under Basic Music Education

The ultimate goal of education is to cultivate person with creative capacity. He should not only have a high abstract thinking ability but also have the high images thinking ability, with which is the superior function owned respectively by the left and right brain of human. In the past, the education research into image thinking is insufficient because of the influence of some one-sided views, that is, image thinking is a preliminary thinking activity, and abstract thinking is the high level thinking activity. Therefore, images thinking activity are mostly limited to the infant stage, even the subject of music which is mainly to develop the right brain function also ignore the images thinking training. Now, the New Curriculum Standard proposes that, creation is the fundamental impetus to the development of arts and even to the development of the entire society histories; it is an important manifestation of function and values of the artistic education, is a process and method with which to let the student accumulate the experience of creating music and explore the creative thinking ability, and these have very significant meanings to cultivate the innovation talents with practical ability. The music creation is full of charms because of its intense and clear individual characteristic. In the music class, the spirited music appreciation, as well as its performance and creative activity, is able to activate the student's performance desire and creative impulse, unfolds their individuality and creation ability in the initiative participation, making the students get full play of their imagination and creative thought. However, creative thought is the thinking activity in the process of creation; it mainly is the novel, flexible and organic combination of abstract thinking and images thinking. Therefore, the cultivation of images thinking is an essential part in cultivating creative thought in the innovative education. This thesis take the characteristic of thought and images thinking and so on as principle theory basis, carry out research from four parts combining with practical teaching. The first part discuss the cultivation of images thinking by means of accumulating rich music representation; the second part discuss the development of images thinking through cultivating association of ideas and imagination; the third part discuss the development of images thinking by the ways of strengthening musical memory ability; and the fourth part discuss the combination of development of images thinking and the cultivation of creative thought.Through the practical research of this topic, the author aims to develop the student's images thinking ability, with which to promote the development of student's creative thought, so as to lay a good foundation to cultivating new talented person required by the future society.
