Nowadays, concerning the teaching of piano playing, there exists some misunderstanding over the study of piano playing. Lots of students blindly pursuit the playing skills but ignore the most important thing---the musical expression. As a result, such playing leads to awful programming of the musical works and weaken the expressive function of music.In fact, the musical expression is the soul of piano playing. Being teachers, we should aim our teaching purpose of piano playing at raising the level of musical expressive power and train the students to get spontaneous and emotional playing which could in deed reflect the indefinite charming of piano playing.This paper sets the raising of musical expressive power as our teaching aim and intends .The details are stated in three parts. The first one is to raise the students ability to master the expressive form and emotional connotation of musical works. The second one is to train the students perceptive hearing and the ability to sing inside the mind. Third is to raise students ability of musical perception and musical expression.The last is on setting the harmonious, unified and integrated art of human sounds in song-singing lessons.Song-singing lesson, entirety, basic lessons for song-singing, song-singing psychology, harmony, integration. After that, this paper goes on to discuss the major methods and approaches to train students'musical expressive power. This part is divided into three points. The first one is that the teachers should offer abundant teaching language. The second one is that the indoor music classes should be carried out. The third one is that enough emphasis should be placed on the step of practice. The third part of this paper focuses on the enhancing of students'comprehensive qualities to raise the musical expressive power. The methods for this part are mainly in two aspects: one is to train the good psychological quality of piano playing and the other is to strengthen the cultivation of culture and other related subjects.The last part is the discussion about the importance to raise the teaching in piano lessons and the questions which need to be solved.Through the analysis stated above, we teachers should instruct students to thoroughly understand the musical works by knowing the relevant information about the life of composer sand the background knowledge for such works. Only by these can students master the nature, framework, theme and style of the works. Besides, teachers should extend students'vision and encourage the creative work of them. Teachers are also sculptures, to teach each student based on his unique feature, to dig out the potentials lying in each student and to guide and develop his specialty, with the purpose to train each student into a talent.
