Shen Congwen and Xiao Hong are the extraordinary writers in the 1930s in the Chinese modern literary world. Different from other writers'creation styles, the individuality of being uninfluenced by the popularity has made them become the few modern writers who can stick to their own literary idealism.However, for the long time being, the history of literature has played a considerable joke with them,which brought them unfair evaluation once. Then after 1980s, the heatedness of Shen Congwen and Xiao Hong has appeared to make up for some mistaken viewpoints. After comparison with the creation roads of the two writers, it is not difficult to find the surprising resemblance, that is,both were originally the Black Horse dashing into the literary world with"wildness". Different from Lu Xun, Yu Dafu and Xu Zhimo, the first generation of modern writers returning from overseas, they seem to be insufficient in literary knowledge and accomplishment due to insufficient normal school education. Just because of these, Shen Congwen and Xiao Hong have made their literary styles possessing distinctive Chinese characteristics, without much influence by foreign writers.The language of their novels has local characteristics, making their works possessing considerable purity and rusticity and showing the strong locality when reading them. The reason for them to fight against the common customs and mainstream is to find their life regression instead of other excessive beneficial purposes.One is in south and the other is in north; one is female and the other is male; their character and growth environment are so varied. But these haven't prevented them from bearing similar aesthetic features. This thesis is trying to talk about their aesthetic features of their literary creation from the following five aspects: Image figures, female tragedy; breaking through tradition, individuality; memory regression, solitude and vagrancy; Paying attention to the lower class, common life; interweaving love and hatred, gloomy and hidden pains.The thesis is trying to offer people another angle to appreciate and code the two literary famous writers. The two writers, from the two different places with different gender, use the same clean words to describe their respective harbor for their soul. The purpose of writers to produce a novel is to regress without pausing until they achieve the beautiful wishes of themselves and even the whole human beings.
