Analyzing the female physical narrative in novels of women writers of shanghai school in 1940s, the dissertation wants to find out the consciousness of female subject displaying in female physical narrative.Firstly, we summed up the research of female physical narrative in novels of women writers of shanghai school in 1940s. Researched by many years, scholars have been illustrated and defined the meaning of female physical narrative in novels of women writers of shanghai school, scholars mostly research into the single writer's work. However, there are few people to think about the whole characteristic of novels of shanghai school. The dissertation will research the female physical narrative in five parts by using the critical methods of detailed study of the novel itself and case study.Firstly, women writers of shanghai school show that the position of female body in home is decided by male subject. At the same time, women's income is a supplement to man's; the income contributes few to changing the image of servility of women. Fourthly, women writers break through traditional rhetoric of female body, reverse the meaning of ugly female body in traditional rhetoric, change the fake body mirror image made by Chinese man into the truth that the male subject inhibits the initiative of women; create the new rhetoric"child"that showing the initiative of the female body.
