During the New Period, Chinese contemporary rural literature has been developed more. Some writers with great influential and creative strength have emerged. Luyao who died in his golden age was one representative of these famous writers. Under the background of New Period, this paper mainly carries out the analysis and discussion from the trend of literature, the folklore of literature and art, and the cultural psychology. At the same time, it tries to reveal some different characters between tradition and modern of Lu's novels and also to understands Luyao himself , meanwhile, the significance of his novels to our society.The first part mainly deals with some changing tracks that is content, creative method and the narrator's tone of Chinese contemporary rural literature during the New Period.The second part focuses on the different traditional characters as aesthetic parts of Lu's novels such as the distinctive characters of Confucianism, richer complex of the country life and the suffering consciousness inherited one by one.The last chapter of the paper is the contradictory modern character of Lu's novels. That is fleeing -------a man would rebel against traditional agricultural culture and suffer hard changes from countryside to city. The other, one's alien land will not become his homeland in the end. There is a kind of confusion to many rural young people. When they take the responsibility to the cultural heritage and go to city, they can't find an alien land as their homeland and will never shake off the confusion.
