A Study Of Ye Dehui's Works Of ShuoWenJieZi

Ye Dehui is a scholar lived in the last years of Qing dynasty and thefirst years of MinGuo. In addition to his many fruits in the field of bookcollection, carved books, version bibliography, Ye made a lot studies onShuoWenJieZi. This thesis digs deeply into in order to playback his idearelated to Chinese characteristic.This thesis is divided into four parts.Chapter one is discussing Ye's lifetime, family, and academicachievement.Chapter two briefly introduces the writing period, the version, thecontents of Ye's works, and analyzes the works of ShuoWenJieZi,LiuShuGuWei, ShuoWenDuRuoKao, ShiRenShuZheng, ShuoWenZhouWenKaoZheng and TongShengJiaJieZiKao in details. By means ofcomparing and understanding Ye's the ideas of LiuShu, ZhouWen,DuRuo and the orders of the elements of LiuShu, we aim to dig outthose differences from other scholars in the ideas of character so as to beable to demonstrate his core ideas.Chapter three concludes Ye's ideas on such ideas of science ofcharacter as the nature and the development view of character.Chapter four is the conclusion.
