As more and more scholars devoted themselves to the research of "bi" sentence,we had made remarkable progress in the substitution regularity of this sentence inrecent years. Mazhen was special among those scholars. She systematically analyzedthe two most commonly used variation of the "bi" sentence by means of semanticrelations, and finally discovered the substitution regularity behind them.Mazhen's research is exhaustive and works perfectly in most cases. But it alsohas many defects. Firstly, she only cared about the two most used variations, and paidlittle attention to the others. Secondly, she believed that there only exist eight kinds ofsemantic relations. The other semantic relations were unfortunately neglected. This article tries to help solving these problems. We would lay out the sevenvariations of the "bi" sentences after comprehensive study, and then probe into thesubstitution regularity by way of restriction factors rather than semantic classification. We would also wotk hard to testify the validity of our theory in various ways.
