A Contrastive Study On "Geng(更)X" And "Yue Lai Yue(越来越)X"

The use frequency of the two structure "gengX" and "yue lai yueX" is higher inmodern Chinese,but there are some similar and different usages between them. Thiscauses the two structure exists many non-standardphenomena in the language communication.This paper is on the basis of Predecessors’ research,using the modern linguistictheories to describe and interpret the inherent differences of the two structure,and toexplore the differences in the feature of framing sentences,in order to reach thepurpose of improving the accuracy of the language.This paper is divided into five chapters, the main content is as following:The first chapter:Introduction. Introduce the origin of this paper and the researchstatus of the two structure.The academia obtains a lot of research results of“gengX”and“yue lai yueX”,but this paper does not collectively exhaustive all the researchresults,just briefly illustrate the results related to the content of this paper on twoaspects:grammaticalization study and construction study,and point out the necessity ofthe study of the two construction to indicate the research scope, methods and corpusof this paper.The second chapter:the differences of "gengX"and “yue lai yueX”.This partmainly illustrates the differences of “gengX”and“yue lai yueX” from five aspects,theyare the different grammaticalization, presupposition, scanning way,expressiveconnotation,and arrangement.The third chapter: The differences in the function of framing sentences betweenthem.This part analyzes a large number of corpora and concludes the differences of"gengX" and "yue lai yue X",in terms of set of sentences,we use the method ofquantitative and qualitative analysis.It mainly discusses the different frequency in the simple sentence, Bi-sentence Ba-sentence, Bei-sentence between them,and thereasons that cause the differences.The fourth chapter:The differences in composite sentence.This part puts thedifferent frequency that “gengX”and “yue lai yueX”appear in the composite sentencein order,and analyzes the features in different types of composite sentence.The fifth chapter:Conclusion. This part summarizes the content of the wholepaper,concludes the view and points out the unconcerned in the paper.
