Art Nouveau jewelry has its unique character, it's character represented in curve, material and subject matter. This paper start with taste and fashion, specialize a few Art Nouveau jewelry designer's work, try to make out the relationship between style and taste of the late 1800s.The full text is totally divided into 3, chapter 1 related the representative character of Art Nouveau jewelry, try to find out the reason of the emergence of this character. In chapter 2, I introduce some Art Nouveau jewelers and find their relationship. Chapter 3 tells the client's tastes of these jewelers, how their taste influence the jewelry's style, and this style lead the debate between form and function.This text come down to the theory of style and vision psychological, my main point of view is illumed by E.H. Gombrich, and I use the work of jeweler to show the relationship between style and taste.
