Court verdict is an old style, first appeared as juristical document. During the long history of development, it absorbed literary nature because of various reasons. From the perspective of literary style, Chinese ancient verdicts can be divided into parallel verdicts and prosaic verdicts, and from the perspective of function, they can be divided into simulant verdicts and real verdicts.Song Dynasty was an important time during verdicts' development. In this time, verdicts changed a lot in literary style and function and presented the new appearance. But at present, in view of Song Dynasty verdict research, domestic academic circles mainly concentrate on the Southern Song Dynasty's verdicts, comparatively less on the Northern Song Dynasty's verdicts. Yu Jing was a famous minister in the Southern Song Dynasty. There are two volumes of verdicts in his Wu Xi Collection, which provides us precious research materials. Yu Jing's verdicts are all simulant verdicts and parallel verdicts, as a result ofshu pan ba cui. He studied from Zhang Zhuo and Bai Juyi, who lived in Tang Dynasty, formed his own style of writing. Furthermore, the decision standards and concern to the populace in Yu Jing's verdicts are inherited well by Ming Gong Shu Pan Qing Ming Ji in Northern Song Dynasty.
