The present study focuses on the relationship between social support, self-esteem and coping styles when facing with frustration and trouble, with the junior middle school students with learning disabilities being as main subjects. Based on this research, a psychi-intervention research was carried out and the effects of the coping psychi-intervention were investigated.The conclusions are as follows:1. The coping styles of junior middle school students with learning disabilities(LD) most frequently used is problem solving. Comparing with students with non-learning disabilities (NLD), LD students'coping styles tend to be passive, with positive coping styles significantly lower than NLD students, and the negative coping level significantly higher than NLD. Also, the social support and self-esteem levels of junior middle school students with LD are lower than that of NLD.2. There is significant correlation between social support, self-esteem and coping styles of junior middle school students with LD. Different factors of social support and self-esteem have significant regressing effects on different coping styles.3. The using of social support plays as moderators between self-esteem and coping styles. The using of social support can obviously increase the adoption of problem solving, and can reduce the using of tolerance.4. Psychi-intervention can improve the coping styles of LD students. It increases the adoption of problem solving and help seeking, while decreases the using of tolerance and withdrawal. But the psychi-intervention had no significant effect on venting and fantasy.5. Psychi-intervention can increase the total score of social support, and it has significant effect on improving objective support and the using of social support. But its effect on subjective support, self-esteem is non-significant.
