Qian Qian-yi was one of the greatest Confucians and the first leading scholar who changed the academic atmosphere in the late Ming Dynasty and early Qing Dynasty. Qian Xhu Du Shi was one of Qian Qian-yi's successful academic practices in this process.Qian Zhu Du Shi is one of the most influencing works which annotates Dufu's poems. On the one hand, this book, from such aspects as history, geography, characters, literay quotations, words, meanings of the poems etc., inherits the anteceAents' fight annotations, corrects the mistakes of the former annotations and gives an entirely new appearance to the annotations of Dufu's poems. On the other hand, Qian Oian-yi attached importance to the textual research of history events, corrected the mistakes and supplemented the history book about Tang Dynasty with Dufu's poems. Meanwhile, he also paid attention to the explanation to the irony in Dufu's poems, based on the detailed textual research to the history events.Qian Zhu Du Shi is an important part of the academic achievements of Qian Qian-yi, incarnating his factualism in pursuing academic studies. It promotes the forming of the factualistic academic atmosphere. Because of its unique way to annotate, it has great influence to the annotation of Dufu's poems in Qing Dynasty. Qian Zhu Du Shi is therefore regarded as a classical work and enjoyed a sublime position in the study history of Dufu's poems. At the same time, it has great effects in changing the academic atmosphere at the end of Ming Dynasty and in the beginning of Qing Dynasty.
