This thesis is mainly discuss the transport revolution and its influence in Britain between 1750 and 1830.In this thesis, specifically deals with the condition,progress and influence of highway and canals. Then take transport revolution as a whole,discuss the remarkable influence to the whole economy of Britain,industrial development,agricultural development,urban growth,distribute of population,communication and commerce. In this thesis, integration the subject of history,geography,sociology,economics to deals with transport revolution. This dissertation consists of four principle parts.Chapter one is the introduction and summary of the research. On the basis of former researches, I will put forward my idea of this thesis.Chapter two describes the highway revolution and its influence. looking the road transport of mediaeval times and the time preindustrialization,the rise,development,influence of turnpike road. In this chapter ,also deal with the vehicle and the road engineers.Chapter three introduces canal revolution and its influence. Reviewing the river transport of Britain. With the development of economy, then deals with the rise development and profound influence of canals. Its also involved the conveyance and the canal engineer.Chapter four taking the transport revolution as a whole, deeply discusses the notability influence to every aspect of British society life, including the profound influence on the whole economy of Britain,industrial development,agricultural development,urban growth,distribut of population,communication and commerce.
