Exploration Of The Crisis Of Modernity From Viewing Of Rational Narration

Modernity and the crisis of modernity now is a hot topic of academic studies. My paper takes the rationalistic narrative of modernity as the starting point, because in my opinion, the rationalistic narration is the essence of modernity. My paper develop all arguments by taking the analysis of rationalistic narration of modernity as my major work. My conclusion is that the internal logic of rationalistic narration of modernity already implies the possibility of the crisis of modernity.This paper is consisted of four parts. The first part is concerned with the meaning and internal logic of modernity. I provide two chess, one is to give definition of the concept of modernity; another is to analyze the internal logic of modernity.The second part is concerned with the question why rationalistic narration result in the crisis of modernity? To answer this question is the stress of my paper. To analyze the cause of the crisis of modernity from the angle of theoretic, I point that the internal logic of modernity already implies the possibility of the crisis of modernity, the possibility is resulted from the issue of rationalistic narration of modernity. Why does the modern rationality result in crisis but the classic rationality does not? To resolve this paradox, I make comparison between the two types of rationality, and I find out the essential difference between them. Then I got the idea that the internal logic of modern rationality already implies the possibility of the crisis. To illustrate this point, I develop two theses: the thesis of classic rationality; the modern rationality and its characteristics. The modern rationality is generated after the founding of philosophy of subjectivity. The philosophy of subjectivity is the one of disenchantment of value of divine and also is the one of highlight of value of human being. But the philosophy of subjectivity disenchant the limitation of human rationality when it disenchant the value of divine, and it results in an absolute freedom of modern rationality. The modern rationality exaggerates the technique rationality which is of only the meaning of implement, and to make it supreme. I consider this as the theoretic origin of the crisis of modernity.The third part is concerned with the description of the"life - world"under the condition of crisis of modernity. The second part of my paper provides the cause of crisis of modernity from the angle of theoretic, and the third part of my paper is to develop the theoretical analysis from the angle of practical life; to provide a kind of phenomenological description for the crisis of modernity. Here, I give two theses: 1.the analysis of"modern person"—"the death of person"; 2.the analysis of modern society—nihilism of all over the world, the theory applied here is the thesis of the third characteristics of modernity—the theory of the operation mechanism consisted of the identity logic and nihilism, Here I call it as objective deduction. And I also analyze how the nihilism related to issues of life world develop based on the above operation mechanism.The fourth part is concerned with how Marxism philosophy over come the crisis of modernity. I start from Marxist critiques of the modernity, I analyze the crisis of modern capitalism with Marx'theory of the logic of capital, and I get the solution of how to over come the"crisis of modernity": to over through the capitalism supported by capitalist class, to realize the socialism requested by proletariat class, so that to realize the ideal value of communism, where people no more rely on material being in capitalism and enter the paradise where people develop them selves freely and all-roundly.
