Wittgenstein's private language argument is the continue part of his later period philosophy"observes the rules".The denial of private language is also the denial of private experiences, sensations and significances. His private language argument is to solve the puzzling problem: How can human being achieve the public knowledge through private experiences and knowledge? This is the famous"the self-central difficult position".Wittgenstein thinks that this seemingly profound problem is not a problem at all.The distinction between public knowledge and private knowledge actually is just artificial delimits. There are three parts in this thesic:First part: Define"private language"and point out the characteristic of private language ,namely ,such a private language by definition cannot be understood by anyone other than its user(who alone knows the sensations to which it refers).Second part: In view of this private language, Wittgenstein proves the impossibility of it two aspects. This part gives a concrete elaboration of Wittgenstein's argument and defines it the degree of thoroughness which criticizes to the personal language.Third part: Elaborated the important value of Wittgenstein's private language argument in western philosophy history.Wittgenstein points out the epistemology root of private language. That is Decartes'body and mind dualism thought.Wittgenstein stands on the turning point of contemporary western philosophy, through the private language argument,he destroys the final refuge shelter of dualism thought.
