The definition of Cosplay is that people wear the costume and act as the characters in Anime and Manga. The thesis aims to study the formation of the Cosplay subculture groups, the change of the group order and discipline. Based on the materials from interviews and participate observation, the thesis draws a conclusion that Cosplay is a kind of subculture. Therefore, the conclusion disproves the opinion regarding Anime and Manga as a kind of identification of consumer or a kind of fashions in the past.Furthermore, the thesis analyzes in the background of government policy, the promotion of large-scale Anime and Manga exhibition brings new resources and actors in the Cosplay subculture field. On the one hand, the former group order faces to challenges and results in continual and repeating dispute of such exhibitions on the internet. On the other hand ,the costs of Cosplay forces the Cosers to depend on the chances and resources offered by such exhibitions. Different from the researches on youth subculture in the past, the thesis holds the opinion that the changes of subculture's social order may not necessarily cause the resistance from the members who share this subculture. Because in today's complicated society, Power is no longer an invader or threat outside the subculture community and groups.Instead,Power becomes an involving factor in the birth and growth of subculture. The changes of subculture order is a process to compete for resources and power rather than a process to resist power. Even though such competition may not have real effects. The death of resistance results from the death of autocratic power and control in modern society.
