Probe Into Painting As A Process

To painters, painting is a course of participating (from a painter'heart), which includes both the employment of painting materials and the devotion of a painter's emotion and wisdom. Painting is the result of comprehensive factors. In this thesis, I probe into the theme from different angles.The article covers five parts. In"Essential Topic", the writer mainly clarifies the connection between art and beauty, and also the difference of beauty between art and life in nature. As a matter of fact, the beauty of art lies in expressing a"Representative Characteristic"or"Inner Truthfulness". In"Painters'Observation", the writer elaborates on the important role that"Observation"plays in painters'creation and on the particularity of it. In"Imagery World", I introduce that image is actually not lively or concrete but abstract. In"Painting Language", I analyze the difference between painters and ordinary people. Painting language is the means which painters use to make their emotion and wisdom expressed and understood, but not the only one. In fact, it is a culture action. In"Theme Selection", I probe into the difference that the theme, which is the fundamental reference, makes to painters. In"Rational Control", the writer explains that painting is not only the participation of emotion, besides, lacking reason means that painters can grasp neither emotion nor language. Take Vincent Van Gogh for instance, he, a great painter, although misunderstood for almost the whole life, was full of rationality.
