The synchronic features of the initials, finals and tones of the dialect are presented respectively. Furthermore, some unique phenomena of the initials and finals are discussed in an attempt to interpret some phonetic changes.About lexicon: The paper includes the comparison of the lexicon of the Southern Lujiang dialect to that of the common language and to the character-words of the vicinity dialects (Wu dialects and Gan dialects). The comparison with the common language reveals some features of the Southern Lujiang dialect's lexicon in meaning and structure. The comparison with the character-words of the two vicinity dialects reveals the relationship of the Southern Lujiang dialect with them.About grammar: The paper chooses two branches of the Southern Lujiang dialect grammar system: morphology and syntax. Morphology mainly introduces the usages of affix and pronoun . Syntax describes and analyses three special sentence patterns: the character of "把", the passive voice tag "着" and the disjunctive question sentence in the Southern Lujiang dialect.
