The thought of "Non-action", which is the most important view Laozi's philosophy expressed, is the nucleus of the laozi's philosophy, involving a profound understanding of interrelations between the human and the nature, and beneficial enlightenments to society. It requests the people to set up one kind of ideological realm to forget oneself, to favor others selflessly; It requests the people to deal with all things in the world with a calm mind, not to seek fame and wealth, and not to have individual prejudice to deal with the rules of the development of society and the nature, but to discover the method to integrate in the nature and the society. It has had the profound influence not only to our nationality's disposition behavior and the outlook on life, but also to the various countries greatly. The present paper is divided into three parts:Chapter one mainly expatiates on the contents of the thought of Laozi's "Non-action", emphasizing on inspecting the historical perspective of Laozi's "Non-action" thought, the later people's misunderstanding to Laozi's "Non-action" thought and the true connotation of Laozi's "Non-action" thought.Chapter two mainly discusses the thought of Laozi's "Non-action", among witch the positive significance of Laozi's "Non-action" thought and its negative effect are expatiated.Chapter three mainly study afresh the ethic value of Laozi's "Non-action" thought, in which emphatically expatiating its reference value to constructing harmonious society, the ecology ethic value and the social ethic value.
