Since the view of life-span development has been suggested, numerous researchers devoted themselves to the study of theories and concepts to explain the regularities of human life-span development. Compared with other theories and concepts, the life-span theory of control which was proposed by Heckhausen and Schulze could give us much more rationally explanation to the regulars of development. Since the positive psychology has been developed, the scholars paid more and more close attentions to the research of subjective well-being day by day. And subjective well-being becomes an important psychological index to measure the standard of peoples' life.Master degree candidates took part in this research as participants. The method of psychological measurement and interview were used in this research. Optimization in primary and secondary control scales, general well-being schedule, general self-efficacy scale and comprehensive diagnose scale of interpersonal relationship were used to preliminarily explore the characters of Master degree candidates, and the mechanism by which the control strategies affect their subjective well-being. The main discoveries of this research as following:(1) The degree of Master degree candidates in the normal university was moderate. The main factors which influence the level of Master degree candidates' subjective well-being were grade, marriage, major and the pattern of educate.(2)There was significant correlation between subjective well-being and control strategies, and the effective using of control strategies could raise peoples' subjective well-being.(3)There was latent structural relationship among control strategies, persecution of interpersonal contact, self-efficacy and subjective well-being. The persecution of interpersonal contact and self-efficacy are the intermediary variables between control strategies and subjective well-being.(4)Selective primary control has positive forecasting effect on subjective well-being.(5)Self-efficacy has significant positive forecasting effect on subjective well-being, and acts as the intermediary variable between selective secondary control, compensatory secondary control and subjective well-being.(6)Persecution of interpersonal contact has significant negative forecasting effect on subjective well-being, and acts as the intermediary variable between compensatory primary control and subjective well-being.
