Deixis teaching is an inevitable part of TCFL. It includes many teaching difficulty, for example: person pronoun, demonstrative pronoun, time or space noun and adverb, directly verb, particles, etc. The Deictic function have been given to those words and grammatical category in the speech, whose sense, usages and the understanding manner etc. are not governed by the semantic and grammatical rules. This made them to be a dotty part in TCFL for a long time.The thesis is founded mainly on five parts.The first chapter gives a general overview of the Deixis, and points out the insufficiencies in the deictic study and the significant in TCFL.The second chapter is expounded separately the definition, characteristic, usage and classification of deixis from the angle of TCFL. This provides carefully for the deictic teaching study afterward.The subsequent chapters mainly put forward the suggestion principally from the characteristics of the deictic classes. Deixis is generally classified four types: time deixis, place deixis, social deixis and discourse deixis. The first three are the very important composing of the speech, which is mainly connected with the speech teaching. Discourse deixis directs specially at the text teaching. Since the key to the study is the speech teaching, so put it aside for study at a later date.TCFL is such a complicated and systemic work whose basic goal is to develop the ability of Chinese communication. We believe that the study of this problem will not only promote the deictic teaching in TCFL, but also have some positive influence on the study of TCFL, especially on the practice.
