As the first of 5 high mountains, Mount Tai has the superior landscape and vehemence that other mountains do not have.It is the place where the ancient emperors made their imperial visited and offered sacrifices to gods.It has the function of original mountain worships.It gestates the most important and original religious thinking of the Chinese in which Taoism and Confucianism occupy the dominant position. The research on FengShan to Mount Tai is helpful to promote the development of Confucian and Taoism and the understanding of history and culture of Qi and Lu.To sum it up, this article can be divided into five parts, which consists of the origin of FengShan to Mount Tai, The first emperor of Chin's FengShan to Mount Tai, Hanwu emperor's FengShan to Mount Tai, Guangwu emperor's FengShan to Mount Tai and the prevue of FengShan to Mount Tai. It expresses this cultural phenomenon systemally.The first part mainly tells the origin of FengShan to Mount Tai. It mainly includes the imperial visits, perambulation and FengShan to Mount Tai. Also, it shows that the original mountain worships and Mount Tai is the very joint of the worship of mountain god. Imperial visits is the prelude of FengShan to Mount Tai, is the manoeuvres of the imperial visits. Just because preceding imperial visits, the emperors realize that this kind of behavior is good for solid dominion.This establishes ideological foundation for FengShan to Mount Tai. Besides, the establishment of special position of Mount Tai makes the territory of imperial visits from nation-wide to Mount Tai step by step.So FengShan to Mount Tai become a kind of special form of imperial visits.Of course, when affirming them connection, we should also confirm their differences.I have said above the connection between imperial visits and FengShan to Mount Tai.Why Mountain Tai became the joint from imperial visits to FengShan to Mount Tai gradually?Attention should be paid to both the worship of mountains and the particularity of Mount Tai.The second part is completely elaborates the first emperor of Chin's FengShan to Mount Tai.This includes both the mental and social reasons for the first emperor of Chin's FengShan , such as"southeast has the air of the emperor".Besides, I have still discussed the relation between YanQi wizards'and FengShan to Mount Tai and Lu's Confucian scholars'relation with FengShan to Mount Tai, too.As Master Gu Jiegang claimed:"The first emperor of Chin unified six countries.When he perambulated to the east, he accepted seashore culture immediately because the wizards and Yin-Yang scholars'flattery.Confucian scholars realized this direction and knew that it was necessary to create a set of mysterious things to get close to the central regime."Early in the establishment of Chin,Confucian scholars plays important roles.After WuDe Consistency Theory , Confucianism influenced Chin dynasty thoroughly.Just see the words carved on the stones for the FengShan of Mount Tai, we knew that Confucianism had great influence on Chin dynasty.The third part mainly investigated HanWu emperor's FengShan to Mount Tai.Because people in Han dynasty believed the divine right of kings, propitious omens became the sinal of god's order.Chin and Han is the time of various kinds of original religion and superstition spreading over the society."Heaven and man's inducing""Heaven and man's synthetic"became popular thinking.Led by Dong Zhongshu, the Confucian scholars, wizards and geomancers preached the superstitious of ghosts and gods, with the special natural phenomenon of mirage.All these made Han Wu emperor, who wanted to became perpetual rejuvenation, hanker Qi and eastern aera very much.Mount Tai lies in the eastern China."gentlemen were all eager for the FengShan to establish proper order".All these caused HanWu Emperor's granting Mount Tai.This part also discusses the relation between Confucianism and FengShan.The fourth part mainly discussed Guan Wu emperor's FengShan.It gives the discription on the FengShan of Guan Wu Emperor from three aspects, including the mental reason, divination combined with mystical Confucianists'belief and Ma Di bo"a record of FengShan".Making full use of Confucian political myth combined with mystical Confucianist belief was a very important reason that made LiuXiu the winner of the warlords'separability regime in the last years of Weatern Han dynasty.Though Ma di bo"a record of FengShan"was a travel journey, it could in another aspect show that FengShan had become clearly gradually, not as mysterious and stately as it used to be.At first , the doctors couldn't go with the emperor to FengShan, but Eastern Han's Guan wu Emperor gave them the right.The ceremony could be described as a travel journey, these showed the secularization of the FengShan gradually.The final part is a summary, which mainly discusses the influence and meaning of FengShan on Chinese traditional culture, military, spiritual world and concept of value.
