For cognitive psychology, theories and models are soul, frame work is experiment, flesh and blood is application study.Until now, study of text reading went through several periods development, whose theoretical principle, study method and application have been a perfect development.A number of researchers have now suggested that reader will construst situation models in reading. The study of situation model is the focus in study of text reading .Time is one of the important dimensions of situation model.Zwaan and other cognitive researchers have been studied times to its role, and they explored the impacts of times change on construct and update situation model of reader. This study improved Nicoie K. Speer's and Zwaan's study in Chinese background. Using time—continuity essay model and stationary windows techenique, we further investigated the impact of situation model on construct and update and improve Zwaan's situation model theory. This article consists of two experiments, and the participants are all freshmen of a college. In the first experiment,it is explored whether readers perceive temporal changes as event boundaries between consecutive episodes of activity in narrative text. The second goal of these sdudies was to test the hypothesis when reader encountering an event boundary would reduce the avalibility of recently presented information in memory during reading. We explored the avalilability from two ways:response times and response accuracy. The results are as follows:1. During text reading, reader can perceive temporal changes as event boundaries between consecutive episodes of activity.2. Participants are more likely to mark event boundaries preceding any temporal changes compaed to other types of sentences. 3. Participants are more likely to mark event boundaries preceding"An hour later..."than preceding"A moment later..."4. During text reading reader perceive temporal changes as event boundaries would slow the response time of recently present information in memory, and response times to correctly identify probe words are significantly slower following"An hour later..."than following"A moment later..."5. With the increasing mumber of filler sentences between previous information and probe words.6. Participants are less likely to correctly identify probe word following"An hour late..."than following"A moment later..."7. In text reading, participants'accuracy in rejecting new probe word is higher than to old probe words. The conclusions indicates that reader can perceive temporal changes as event boundaries between consecutive episodes of activity in narrative text.In addiction, encountering an event boundary reduces the availability of recently presented infofmation in memory. That is to say, readers interpret an outhor's mention of time has begun ,in this case, response time and response accuracy would change.
