Researchers have brought the Markedness Theory into Chinese language research, but restricted it to description and analysis of asymmetry on the level of Chinese grammar. This paper brought Markedness Theory into Chinese lexicon research, tring to use Markedness Theory to explain asymmetry that found in Chinese lexicon. We selected the antonym"da/xiao"group as objects, explored the word-forming ability of the marked/unmarked cases and analyzed reasons for word-formation asymmetry of the marked/unmarked cases; the semantic development asymmetry of the marked/unmarked cases and the compound words that they formed; the asymmetry of these compound words used in interlanguage. The value of this study is as follows: a) Deepens the asymmetry of Chinese lexicon research through the asymmetry of the antonym"da/xiao"group in Chinese language and interlanguage and its explanation from the angle of the marked/unmarked cases. b) Contrastively reviews the asymmetry of the marked/unmarked cases on the level of Chinese grammar and lexicon, as well as Chinese lexicon and interlanguage lexicon; tests the consistency of markedness and that of Chinese grammar and Chinese lexicon. c) Analyzes the errors in Chinese interlanguage, combining with the asymmetry rules of the marked/unmarked cases and provides certain references and basis for antonym teaching of Chinese as a second language and the compiling of teaching material and dictionary of TCSL.The main content of this article includes: a) word-forming of the marked/unmarked cases of the antonym"da/xiao"group as morphemes. b) Semantic features of the marked/unmarked cases and the compound words that they formed. c) Using and error analysis of these compound words in interlanguage.
