A Poet Who Likes A Continuously Singing Bird

The author want to set about this thesis with Xuzhimo's short but rich life. Making the whole life of Xuzhimo and his literature creation as a whole text to understand. Studing aborad in US and Britain is a turning point for Xuzhimo. He studied in US and Britain for four years with the ideal of reforming China. This experince not only provide a chance for Xuzhimo to see the world but aslo give a world-man position to him to observe and think of the life. And the overseas experince aslo isolate Xuzhimo from his traditional education background. So he can think of the China's reality and culture through distant sight. Just in such comparation between China and East, Xuzhimo find a culture spirit, which become his life faith at last:The whole thesis consists of three parts:The first part is emphasizing on tracing the overseas experince of Xuzhimo to set forth the course of how Xuzhimo chang his substance selection to spirit and chang his pragmatic life to poetic life. Xuzhimo is not a poet inborn. His poet selection is due to his thinking and understanding of the life. His overseas experince makes him out of the pragmatic life and begin his spirit pursuit from the comparation between the US and Bratain. And the pursuit of spirit brings about the pure faith for Xuzhimo. The second part is emphasizing on the intension of Xuzhimo's pure religion through the text analysis. Xuzhimo's best friend Mr Hushi said that Xuzhimo's pure faith is consist of love, beauty and freedom. He spent his whole life to fulfill this faith. The author agree with Mr Hushi's comments. Although Xuzhimo's thought is very disorderly, but it's not superficial. His thoughts is very unique. This part are divided into three sections to demostrate the three sides of Xuzhimo's pure faith.The last part describe that as a poet, how Xuzhimo stick to his pure faith when he face the darkness society of China. Xuzhimo came back China with enthusiasum, though he met so many defeats, he still keep his independent personality and criticical spirit.At the end of this thesis, the author summarize the whole life of Xuzhimo. Xuzhimo's whole life is a tragedy. This tragedy not only belongs to himself but aslo make us to do an introspection.
