The paper was divided into three parts mainly. At first, it introducedseveral routes of the plants which come from foreign areas, includingthree possible routes such as the commerce, the paying tributes and theintroduction from the Catholic missionaries during Ming and Qingdynasty. And made a basic depiction of the government trade policyduring Ming and Qing dynasty in first chapter.The second part divided foreign plants into vegetable and fruit, theeconomic plants and foodstuff crop. The research of the time and routesof the transmission mostly depended on literator's note and thechorography.The third part expatiate on the influence, which come from foreign plants,to people's living, production and society economy during Ming andQing dynasty, and made a special research on active and negativeinfluence of civilians living from tobacco.
