Based on the support of abundance examples, this thesis attempts to make a systemic research about the contrastive structure "A一量B一量" in modem Chinese. And the conclusions are as follows:1. Firstly, the syllabary length of A,B is mostly monosyllabic and the rhythm is mainly "level tone-narrow tone" form. The syllabary ordering of A and B is generally changeless. But because of the semantic content, the practice of language and the rhythm, it is flexible to a degree.2. With regard to the syntactic features of A and B, both predicate and substantive are allowed. And the syntactic features of measure words in the contrastive structure are consistent; no matter they are the same or different words.3. The meaning of the whole structure is general and polysemy. It depends on the semantic relations of A and B, and the context.4. The contrastive structure "A一量B一量" could act as any kind of elements in a sentence or a clause in a compound sentence.5. The contrastive structure "A一量B一量" is productive. It is inconstancy on the structure form and abundant on the semantic content. And it is a structure of obvious oral feature. It is easier to express your sentiment when you are using this structure. And it also has balanced rhythm on phonetic.
