Objective:To investigate the relationship betweem discrepant high self-esteem and aggressive behavior from both implicit self-esteem and explicit self-esteem by using Hot Sauce Allocation whose applicability is to be confirmed in the study in chinese students.Methods:Self-Esteem Scale(SES) and the Self-Esteem Inventory(SEI)and Implicit Association Test(IAT) were used in 50 persons choosing from 365 undergraduates. According to the scores of SEI , the 50 experimenters was randomly devided into four groups with 2×2 two factors:high explicit self-esteem and high implicit self-esteem(HE/HI); HE/LI; LE/HI/ LE/LI Hot Sauce Allocation and Aggression Questionnaire(AQ) were administed and discrepant high self-esteem and aggressive behavior were compared between four groups.Results: 1.The group of HE/LIallocated significant more hot sauce than the group of HE/HI,(p<0.01). The scores by Hot Sauce Allocation and that of Aggression Questionnaire in each group is significant correlation , (r=.488,p<0.01).2.The scores of physical aggression and anger, in the group of HE/LI shows higher than that in group of HE/HI, (P<0.05); The factors of hostility and anger,in the group of LE/HI shows higher than that of the group of LE/LI, (P<0.05).Conclusion :1. The Hot Sauce Allocation which bring forward by foreign investergator is applicable in our country to aggressive behavior. 2.The individuals with HE/LI would behave more aggressivly behavior after a threatening. 3.The combination of low explicit self-esteem and high implicit self-esteem also belong to eslf-esteem discrepancies, leading to a maladjustment.
