The Study On The Sketches In Jin Dynasty

Hong Hao was an envoy of Southern Song Dynasty to Jin Dynasty. In 1129 A.D. he was sent by Southern Song as an envoy to Jin, where he was detained for fifteen years. He was honored"Su Wu in Song Dynasty", for he did not yield to Jin's threat nor bribe. He wrote《松漠纪闻》(The Sketches in Jin Dynasty或Travel Notes on a Trip to Jin参考), a book about his own experiences in Jin, which draws scholars'attention to its historical value.Since first printed in the Qiandao period of Southern Song, The Sketches has been respectively reprinted in Yuan, Ming, Qing, Republic of China and after the foundation of the People's Republic of China. As a result, there are many versions, which need to be sorted out. As the work is about nine-hundred-year old and is mainly concerned with minority groups like Nüzhen, it is necessary to do textual research on some words, denoting objects, which bear the ancient or national characteristics.This thesis is to study The Sketches in the following four aspects:Ⅰ. Hong Hao and The Sketches. This includes a brief introduction to his life, and a study on the writing process, the title's meaning, its value to history and language study (或its value in history study and as linguistic material).Ⅱ. The study and explanation of some words in The Sketches. The thesis is to mainly study and explain some words referring to objects, in the book, like"mao lian", which demonstrate word borrowing among nationalities in the time of the national amalgamation. And, some words, difficult to understand, such as"mao mo"is also to be examined.Ⅲ. The sources of its different versions. This is mainly to trace the sources of its different versions in different time from Song to new China.Ⅳ. The sort-out of different texts of The Sketch. The work has different texts in different versions, which often causes difficulties in reading. The author is to sort out these differences in text by proofreading.
