Investigation On Mental Health Of Zhuang Nation People Of Rural Area In Guangxi

【Objective】To evaluate the mental health of Zhuang nation people of rural area in Guangxi,and analyses the impact of factors such as the demography characteristics,especial customs and habits,life behaviors to the mental health of Zhuang nation people,and then lay a foundation for defending the body and mind health of Zhuang nation people.The study will have active realistic significance to promoting stability of Guangxi social and structuring a harmonious society,and will have significant learning value to the national psychology research of country.【Methods】By means of many phases stratified cluster system sampling,the questionnaire including general situation questionnaire,Symptom Checklist 90(SCL-90)and Social Support Rating Scale(SSRS)were applied to 1000 persons of Zhuang nation of rural area in Wuming county,Xingbin urban area of Laibin,Du'an county and Mashan county and 250 persons of Han nation in rural area in Xingbin urban area of Laibin and Mashan county.All of the data were dealt with by the software SPSS 13.0.【Result】1.The internal consistent reliability coefficient and the Split-Half reliability coefficient of the whole SCL-90 was 0.972 and 0.930 respectively, and the internal consistent reliability coefficient and the Split-Half reliability coefficient of each factors of SCL-90 was 0.715～0.904 and 0.643～0.930 respectively.Correlations between items and the factor it belonged to were bigger than that between it and other factors.The internal consistent reliability coefficient and the Split-Half reliability coefficient of the whole SSRS was 0.716 and 0.589 respectively,and the internal consistent reliability coefficient and the Split-Half reliability of each factors of SSRS was 0.471～0.716 and 0.285～0.824 respectively.Correlations between items and the factor it belonged to were bigger than that between it and other factors.2.The positive rate of mental symptom of Zhuang nation people of rural area in Guangxi was 43.6%.Compared to the norms of Chinese in 1986,except the factors of Hostility and Paranoid Ideation,all the other 7 factors have significant difference(P＜0.05),interpersonal sensitivity factor is lower than the norms,the other 6 factors higher than the norms.Compared to the data of three province(include Hebei,Zhejiang and Guangxi)of normal Chinese in 2006, the factor scores of SCL-90 of Guangxi Zhuang nation people of rural area were more higher(P＜0.05).3.In Xingbin area,the total score of SCL-90,Obsessive-compulsive state, Interpersonal sensitivity,Depression,Hostility and Phobia anxiety factor and the positive rate of the whole,Obsessive-compulsive state,Interpersonal sensitivity,Hostility,Phobia anxiety and Psychoticism factors of SCL-90 of Zhuang nation were higher than that of Han nation(P＜0.05).In Mashan county, the total score,number of positive item,Depression and Phobia anxiety factor and the positive rate of whole,Somatization,Depression and Hostility factors of SCL-90 of Han nation were higher than that of Zhuang nation(P＜0.05)4.The mental health of Guangxi Zhuang nation of rural area was impacted by sex,age,level of education,economy income level and habitation region. Different crowd have their psychological characteristic respectively.5.The scores of total supports,objective supports and subjectivity supports of SSRS and the scores of all factors of SCL-90 assumed negative correlation(P＜0.01),and the degree of making use of supports of SSRS and the scores of all SCL-90 factors has no correlativity(P＞0.05).6.By no-condition Logistic regression analysis,it was found that there were 8 factors including sex,occupation,religious belief,chronic disease, long fall asleep time,gambling,degree of living satisfaction and subjective support can affect the happening of mentality symptom's,the first 6 are dangerous factors,and the last 2 are protective factors(P＞0.05).【Conclusion】1.SCL-90 and SSRS have fairly good validity and reliability,and can be used to investigate the Zhuang nation people of rural area.2.The scores of SCL-90 factors of Zhuang nation people of rural area in Guangxi are all in natural range,but it has its characteristic.Compared to the norms,except the factor of interpersonal sensitivity,the factors of SCL-90 of Zhuang nation people of rural area in Guangxi are higher than the norms in the whole.Their mentality was affected by factors including society economic development level,culture environmental and population factors such as sex, age,occupation and so on.3.The mental health situation is affected by the social supports.The more social supports someone gets,the better mental health he has.4.Factors including sex,occupation,religious belief,chronic disease,time of falling asleep and gambling are dangerous factors of the happening of mental symptoms,the degree of living satisfaction and subjective support are protective factors.
