| The history of the materials of Chinese painting is also the history of Chinese history as well asthe history of the change of our thoughts. That how to regard the history of the materials ofChinese painting and how to face the advantages and disadvantages of modern materials andprospect the direction of the materials in the future is a serious question for us.This essay tries to study the rules of the materials of Chinese painting in perspective of thegrowth of it. I believe, in order to express our moods and spirituality, we should experience in anyways. We should not do nothing before our history and should not follow the west blindly.
