Writing On 'Other Places': Discussing XiaoHong And ChiZijian's Creation

In the Chinese modern and temporary literary world, XiaoHong and ChiZijian both are female writers from Northeast. Their creative ages span fifty years around and during which there are many great changes in the social environment, but a lot of similar artistic characteristics can be seen in their literary creations. Such as prose?style technique of writing, strong local conditions and customs, the narratives from children's perspectives, the attention to the small potatoes'lives, the description of the common practical life and so on. All of these attract a lot of researchers'attention and generate many researching works which compare the two writers and their works parallelly from the above aspects. But as far as I concerned, for XiaoHong and ChiZijian's production, the worthy attention we should pay to is their persistence in their special creative personalities expressed commonly when they faced their different creative ages respectively, the common questions the human being are facing, and their belief and pursuit for the people's beautiful emotion showed during their creative process continually.This paper will discuss the questions from the following three aspects.The first part: It talks about the two writers'alienated attitudes from the main stream in the literary world showed in their different ages, and by analyzing this superficial attitude to reveal their respects to their personalities in their creative activities.The second part: From the point of the writers'gender, as females, XiaoHong and ChiZijian's works show a kind of broad, above-gender and human visions.The third part: By analyzing the dialectical relationship between experience and writing, personal experience and public experience, It talks about the formation of brinking creative format which is a potential center in the Chinese twenty century literary world. By analyzing the writers'creative ideas which begins from their personal experience, but not limit to it in their creative activities. It talks about the writers'standing on'other places'which means it is important to persist in their personality and search after the human being's fundamental questions.Through the expounding of the above three parts, the paper expresses the importance to persist in the writers'creative personalities. What's more, the healthy and beautiful emotion concealed in the works is the fundamental basis of literature.
