Variable Interval Performance (VIP) is a queuing method what chooses items in courseware. VIP queuing method decides the items and order of words according to the replies of the learners. There are different items and order for different learners. It's help to individual learning. English word can be repeated and strengthened when it is in short-term-memory, which answers for the memory law of learners.The idea of VIP queuing method is that the item should be put into a new position and be queued again when an item is answered wrongly. The new queue was composed of leaving items. The interval of new position should be increasingly, and new position should be in the front of queue, in order to picking up the items when they are still in the short-term-memory, thereby improving those items into long memory.The paper based on the principle of memory and strategy of repeat, goes on the VIP queuing method and idea of software project, makes the words of English books from elementary school to university as content, the web-courseware of learning English words which bases on VIP queuing method was developed. The paper provides the environment of practicing English words what realized by VIP queuing method, so that improves learning efficiency of learners effectively.The thesis is divided in to four parts: First part, preface .In times pant, the written analysis the problems exist in English words learning drill courseware. The research goal of thesis was brought forth, relevant concepts of this question was defined, and relevant research at home and abroad were reviewed.Part two, the theoretical bases of this paper were summarized. Main theoretical basic of the research was summarized.Part three, based on Web technical realization. Waterfall model was adopted to develop the technical Web-based courseware, the demand analysis, the system design, the database design, the detailed design and the test were analyzed and described in this thesis.According to the characteristic of this Web-based courseware and comparison of many kinds of development environment, the choice of the run platform for this system is as follows: Adopts Microsoft IIS (Internet Information Server) 5.0 as Web server; Client side operating system is Windows 2000/XP; Adopts SQL Server 2000 as Database server; Adopts ASP.NET as Development environment; Adopts VB.NET as Development language.Part four, summarization and expectation. The process of research was summarized. The shortcoming and direction for research were analyzed.
