The Construction Of Chinese Contemporary Culture In The Background Of Globalization

The globalization is a nuclear and sensitive issue that has been studied by current academic circles. It is a central one because all significant economic, political, social, secure and cultural problems have been inherently related to it. With the development of globalization tides, colliding and conflicting between various cultures and values will become even more frequent and intensifying. With the deepening of globalization, clashing and blending, confliction and dialogue between different cultures and values in the world, become a brilliant prospect. China is to change her culture with others in the age of globalization so as to promote the modernization of Chinese culture; besides, more attention should be paid to carrying forward the traditional spirit of the nation and her culture in order to keep and develop the national uniqueness of Chinese culture.This paper is divided into three parts. The first part reviews the meaning of culture in Marxist philosophy. The second part illustrates how to deal with the conflicting and colliding of different cultures between the East and the West, so as to further indicates the construction of Chinese contemporary culture in the background of globalization.
