The Comparison Between Kant's "Perpetual Peace" And Kang You Wei's "DaTongShu"

The study about KangYouWei's"Da Tong"idea for a long time seems to be focused on one problem,That is whether it is a first signs of the Chinese Utopia socialism or it is an idealization of the European Bourgeois in Chinese society.But during the study about KangYouWei's"DaTong"idea and its foundation,I find out another problem which is more provoking and even more neglected by most of the people.The problem is the misunderstanding of the western idea in KangYouWei and his peer knowledgable elites studing and accepting of the western idea.For that,this paper choose to compare Kant the representative of western rationalism and his"Perpetual Peace"idea with KangYouWei's"Da Tong"idea.The foundation of the comparison is set up on the fact that"Perpetual Peace"is the philosophy study about the future of human being on base of Freedom,Equality and Independence by Kant,and KangYouWei's"Da Tong Shu"is mainly constructed on Kang's own understanding of the Freedom,Equality and Independence.So the central idea of the paper is to compare the western rationalism's conceptions about Freedom,Equality and Independence on one hand, and the modern outstanding Chinese thinker's(such as KangYouWei)understanding about Freedom Equality and Independence,on the other hand,Which is fromed on the foundation of the traditional Chinese idea and the accepting of the concurred western idea.Through my study and comparation it shows that Kant's ultimate foundation of human peace followed the principles of Freedom Equality Independence and competition.While KanYouWei only try to understand the western ideas of freedom,equality and independence literally furthermore constructed his"DaTong world"through the principle of utilitarianism.So in Kant's books,people followed the guide of ration to reach a peaceful society in which all the difference are reserved in order to qcquire social harmony.While KanYouWei so narrowly understood the idea of freedom,equality and independence,That he required his future"Da Tong world"must be a society in which all the difference are removed in order to acquire social harmony.Through the study of the philosophy foundation of Kant's"perpetual peace"and KanYouWei's"DaTongShu",This paper tries to discuss Kant's historical philosophy idea,Which is based on the ultimate goal of the society setting up by nature.and the detailed ideas of his ultimate goal setting up by nature;and tries to discuss human's ration through the setting up the ultimate goal of the society by nature.;and how human beings try to understand the truth of the human rights such as freedom,equality and independence,which is musch needed in social life,through the way of ration.The following part of the paper analysised the philosophy foundation of KangYouWei's social idea in his"Da Tong Shu",and discussed how KangYouWei had a new explanation about the traditional Confucis from the point evolution history idea,and how he introduced the western ideas of freedom,equality and independence to the Confucism by way of this new explanantion.hence formed his unique conception of freedom,equality and independence.and on this foundation added up with his understanding about he western utilitarianism,KangYouWei put forward his critical about the reality and the expectation about he future world.To provide some rational thinking and suggestion about the construction of wonderful human future is the common wish of the two thinkers,that also can explain why there are so many similarities on their way to reaching the ideal society.But the different philosophy foundations let them have huge conflicits about the ultimate goal of the advancing of human society and the way to reach it .even though they have the same good wish.
