From the holistic perspective of anthropology and with the theories and methods of cultural anthropology, folklore, subjects of film and art, the thesis tries to explore the deep connotation of cultural items in specific time and space of history, contained in several representative movies of Mongolian Nationality Themes, such as the material culture, the belief of religion, the political and economic systems, the system of marriage and relative relations, the folk art and special language, etc. Therefore, it will improve the audience's ability of appreciation and expand the visual fields of study of Chinese minority nationality movies. Meanwhile, it is good to the spread and development of the traditional culture of Mongolian Nationality. There are four parts in this thesis as follows:Chapter one is the introduction. In this part, on the basis of study of the process of development and the of movies of Mongolian Nationality Themes, the author uses a new point of view of cultural anthropology and expounds the intention and meanings of this study clearly.Chapter two is analysis of movies of Mongolian Nationality Themes in the view of cultural anthropology. This part explains all kinds of cultural items profoundly, such as the way of life, an appointment between two lovers beside"Aobao"where the gods are consecrated, the worship for the sky and the belief of"Saman", the marriage system, the language custom and the identity ethnic groups, etc, showing in the movies"People On The Grassland""ChengJiSiHan"and"Heoros'Biography About Returning To Their Homeland".Chapter three is about the tactics of development of movies of Mongolian Nationality Themes. After analyzing the achievement and the fault of movies of Mongolian Nationality Themes since the creation, the author has give the tactics of development for Chinese minority nationality movies, i.e, showing the traditional culture of every minority nationality in movies sufficiently and heading for diversified roads of development.Chapter four is a conclusion. In the following years, creators should attach importance to the traditional culture of every minority nationality; try to reveal the deep connotation and characteristics of every kind of culture. Thus, every types of culture of minority nationalities are respected fully. On the other hand, research workers should open up their visual view of study to guide the audience's interests and offer valuable suggestions for creators in a profound and wide sense.
