The research on "negative space" of fine-brush painting is to embody the "subjective space" consciously, enrich and adjust it.From the point view of now days, the article mainly adopts the concept of "negative space", which is not mentioned in the research of Chinese fine-brush flower-and-bird painting, from two aspects, i.e. visual embodying and present age's consciousness, to try to research the "negative space" in Chinese fine-brush flower-and-bird painting. It considers that, as a language essence, "negative space" is widely used in past and present age. By means of "negative space" factor, it explains the relationship among image, structure and painting skill in fine-brush flower-and-bird painting, meanwhile, analyzes many aspects such as the formation, maintaining, attention and characteristic of the visual factor of "negative space" by researching the works and the artists in traditional and present lower-and-bird painting circle, and find out the track of innovation. It also surveys the reason of generating such a diversification, and contemplates the intricate theoretical question with close consideration of own invention practice in order to supply remarkable embodying methods to Chinese fine-brush flower-and-bird painting of current age.
