San Mao's Travel Literature

The thesis consists of five parts with: the introduction, dealing with the life and works of Sanmao, reviewing the studies on Sanmao over the years, and stating her approaches to the study. The Chapter 1 is about the type and period of Sanmao's travel literature: There're three types called tourism works, trudge works and journey works in Sanmao's travel literature and there're also three periods during her writing career. The Chapter 2 is about the feature of Sanmao's travel literature including female feature, self-imposed exile, loneliness and death. The Chapter 3 is about the narrative art of Sanmao's travel literature, which is consisted of discourse style and comment. The final part is the conclusion.
