| The research object of this article is fools' images in Jane Austen's works. The article attempts to summarize her love concepts and class notions by analyzing the images and comparing them with wise people. It concludes Austen's unique thinking framework and artistic value as well. It exposes her different fiction style with the previous. The whole text is constituted by the following three chapters.The first chapter is about the fools in Jane Austen's works. This chapter emphasizes on sorts and characteristics of the fools. Section One argues the characteristics and the definitions of the fools, and presents the background of class behind the characteristics and the definitions. The second section exhibits the images of all kinds of fools, and then discusses the typical significance of the time by analyzing fools` images.The second chapter is about the fools of Jane Austen's and her opinions of marriage. This chapter analyzes different images of fools and exposes the point of class value which is behind her love point. Besides it is theoretically preparation for next chapter. Section One is Jane Austen's viewpoint of marriage which is balanced by sense and sensibility. This section is to catch wholly on Jane's concepts of love and marriage. Jane admires that the marriage should be with love, she prefers, however, to the significant effect of wealth. Section Two emphasizes that all of these are from her concepts and background of her class. The third section states her inconsistent attitude and complicated thinking for marriage matters by analysis of fools images, which reflects the situation of female surviving, and artistic value of hers.Chapter three discusses her class notions by describing fools' images,thus the valuable rule and her particular class and the new style of writing fiction created by her. The first section of this chapter is the sociality notion of hers. The social activity from upper-class shows that Austen's behave distinguished with others. It exposes her class value and rules through analyzing fools particular class behaviors. Section two states the creativity of her narrating method. The creativity of Austen's works has had some modern characteristics, which makes her works have unique artistic charm. She invents new fashion of fiction writing.In a word, Jane Austen is one of the conventional novelists. There are, however, many modern characteristics in her thoughts. Some of her ideas were in advance of the age in which she lived, so, her works are becoming increasingly popular. |
