Marx' Thought Of Freedom Personality And Its Contemporary Character

In"Ecological manuscript during 1857-1858", Marx clearly put forward the thought of"freedom personality"when he expounded the three periods of man's development. This thought is the core and soul of Marxism and very important in the whole system of Marxism. Discussion of this thought is inevitable to master the substance of Marxism and enlightened to master the substance of harmonious society. The article adheres to the methods which include the unity of the state of the same time and history, of ideality and reality, of society outlook and human values in order to show the contemporary value of the thought which embodies the unity of ultimate concern and realistic concern.The article has three main parts.The first part mainly expounds the path of development and its causes of Marx's"freedom personality". Firstly, the article points that the thought has experienced three periods which are embryo period, developing period and mature period. After that, the article analyses the background in which the thought had been put forward. The times of capitalism's market economy and the development of industries impulses the development of man's subjectivity and independence, but causes man's alienation. Basing on these, Marx put forward the thought of"freedom personality". This thought has plentiful sources, but the Germany's classical philosophy, including the thought"man being the purpose"of Kant,"individual freedom"of Hegel,"human is the nature of human being"of Feuerbach and"the ego and his own"of Max Stirner, is the direct source of it.The second part analyses the works and exposes the thought from a deeply and whole philosophy angle."Freedom personality"is the supreme state of man's development, which is not only an ideal personality but also the value of the future society. It will experience a continuous production process. After that, the article expounds some characteristics of the"freedom personality", including uniqueness, independence, creativity, generation of practice, full richness and so on. Basing on these two parts, the article analyses three relationships which embodies its influence in materialism.Futhermore, the thought of"freedom personality"needs some objective and subjective conditions. For this, the article proposes four parts: the development of productivity, the whole development of course, the realization of communism revolution and the development and maturity of thought.The third part mainly expounds the theoretical value and actual meanings of the thought. From the angle of theory, the"freedom personality"which bases on the unity of ultimate concern and realistic concern not only embodies the transcendence of western traditional thought of freedom, but also ample the philosophy of freedom and the philosophy of personality of Marxism. The thought of"freedom personality"has actual meaning which can point orientation for man's development and can offer some enlightenment for us to chase the realization of"freedom personality".
