Advertising poem, that is called poetry advertisement, is the advertising style which expresses the opinion of advertisement vividly with the poem style or poetic language. It is the accidental and inevitable marriage of poetry and advertisement. It was born in ancient, named in modern and developed in the contemporary. Contemporary advertising poem has more kinds of styles, which are common types of rhyme poems, free verse poetry advertisements, songs of advertising poetry, prose poem of advertising and so on. It is the combination of advertisement and poetry, with the features of both of them. First, it is of the poetry features, such as the expression, the music and brief and so on, meanwhile, it also has the features of advertisement, such as benefit, common and simple. It is of its own characters combined the two kinds of features. At the same time, advertising poetry will also effect the development of the poetry and advertisement. The advertising poetry also provides a new opportunity for the study of the advertisement and poetry, not just the emergence of a new nouns word of advertisement and poetry. The study of mutual reaction between poetry and advertisement can not only enrich and develop the ideas of the poetry and advertisement, but also provide the further theoretical basis for their development. In recent years, the articles on study of advertising poetry are increased and of own characteristics and values. However, the works for the whole comprehensive and systematic study of advertising poetry is very poor, on the other hand, most of them ignore the value of poetry of its own, though advertising poetry makes the chances and challenges for the diverse development of poetry. And its value is self-evident. Therefore, the article aims at the value of poetry of its own, try to be whole system and make some references for the further development of modern Chinese poetry.
