Discussing On Direct Impetus Of Art Arising: Stemping From World Imbalance

The Problem of "The Origin of Art" is an important subject in art research, which is also the most abstruse, the most complicated, the most mysterious, and quite disputable topic of art research. An art worker who wants to understand an art comprehensively must know its origin and development. We must find promoting force of the occurrence of art if we wish to know how does an art produce. Only when we find the logic origin of art, can we reveal the law of art development. Contrarily, we may understand the art's development in the future and artistic phenomena in each period, especially, various and complicated artistic phenomena in modern times only when we probe into the first tache of artistic phenomena. The research on art origin provides us the base for carving out an innovative way to an art suitable for oneself and playing an role on social life.There are different opinions about the art origin, including theory of"witchcraft","labor","imitation","game","expression", etc. All of them search for the origin from different phenomenon, and each sticks to his argument. Concrete proof often more than grasping of abstract thinking, and textual criticism is more than generalization and analysis of essence. The primary meaning of art's origin problem is a direct driving force of sociology and psychology from viewpoint of logic. So, we should limit the problem of art's origin to what is the initial creation motivation and explore from this aspect.In addition, I think that the art's origin has direct relations with the nature of art. Therefore, we have to consider the special and essential stipulation. Otherwise, the boundary of original art, primitive technology and original witchcraft will be blurred, and thus causing confusion their relationships. First of all, the essence of art is defined before we discuss the art's origin based on this viewpoint. However, nowadays, its essence, like its origin, has no obvious and unitive conclusion. Philosopher, artist, theorist give various specifications and definitions on this concept beyond the memory of men, but, so far, no definition is generally accepted. I think that we can find its essence from its artistic phenomenon without considering those uncertain parts, although it may make concept inaccurate. In fact, it is not necessary to define the art's origin strictly at the beginning. More accurate definition can be perfected in the research on development of art. From wide view on various art theories, its general viewpoint is basically consistent. Affectivity spirit as art's essence is positive. So, I regard non-utility emotional perfusion as the essential decisiveness of art, which is the reason that work of art is regarded as art. We may regard whether process satisfied spirit emotion and aesthetic thought as basic element of generation of art. We start with the art remains from original ancestors from the motivation angle to find the origin of art and we find that spiritual demand occupies the most straight and forward status in various factors. So, in my study, the spiritual demand is the main line. I find the answer of art's origin from human specific physiological and mental angle.The deep cause of the art occurrence is the objective needs for art for human being's existence and development. Balance mechanism is as existing of material in living nature and even the whole nature world. All life and material must reach internal balance if they want to keep exist. The sum-up of various and enormous information forms the concrete content of spirit world. Spirit is in unbalanced status if some problems and contradictions exist in spirit world. For humankind, unbalance between material world and itself survival development leads to imbalance of spirit. Spiritual unbalance is power of action. All behaviors are to make spirit balanceable. Spirit imbalance mainly comes from food and sex.The signal of demand for food is delivered to the brain in starvation state. After the brain receives the signal, spirit balance is destroyed. The signal stimulation to brain is almost uninterrupted because of survivability of human at that time. With the functional improving, the cognitive and gnosis abilities of humankind greatly enhanced. The abstract thinking ability is developed except representation thinking. After self-consciousness forms, human find that some of related things (including behavior and goods ) are associated in the process of obtaining food. Whenever these things appears or is used, food may be obtained. Such related thing may provide probability for meeting demand of food and probability is affirmed slowly. Spirit pleasure and comfort is gained and a nice signal is recorded when human get the probability.Mankind begins to understand those objects which provide spiritual comfort and like to contact them. Aesthetic feeling and aesthetic standard are formed around this understanding slowly. People preserve those objects which have comfort effect in behavior of getting food. Until one day, people begin to create actively these consolation goods only for obtaining spirit comfort and satisfying, and then the real work of art appears and art which detached from practical bound as a kind of spiritual food comes into being.Through the analysis of spirit demand, I think art's origin is to balance the spirit nervous system, which has a basic condition that objective demand of survival development cannot be met by practical matter. The art's origin appears when humankind solve spirit imbalance, whose physiological or objective psychology foundation is the forming of self-consciousness. Work of art is new forming of comforting spirit to reach balance, which exists as spiritual food. The motivation and objective of art's origin is to meet desire and spirit balance. Spirit imbalance exists as the direct promoting power for such process in the discovery of art.
