Research On The Newspaper Industry Of Sichuan In The Period Of The War Of Resistance Against Japan

Compared to the newspaper industry of well-developed coastal areas in east China, the emergence of this field of Sichuan is relatively later. However, the war of Resistance against Japan has witnessed the leap-forward development of the newspaper industry of Sichuan which reached an unprecedentedly high level, and enjoyed an excellent status in and had significant influences on the newspaper industry of China. Suppose we provide a comprehensive overview of the newspaper industry of Sichuan in the Period of the War of Resistance against Japan(Hereafter as Period), and thoroughly explore the relations among the development of newspaper industry and political, economic and cultural factors with summarizing the features and impacts of the newspaper industry of Sichuan in the Period, we can, to some degree, bridge the gap of and effectively facilitate the research on the regional newspaper industry history and represent the track of society development for Sichuan during the Period from a new perspective, historically reviewing the development process of present Sichuan newspaper industry for the purpose of offering valuable and useful materials. In light of above considerations, I prepared this article.This article consists of four parts:Part I Introduction: the Emergence and Development of Modern Newspaper Industry of Sichuan Before the War of Resistance against Japan. Based on the source of Sichuan newspaper industry, this part focuses on the overview of Sichuan newspaper industry before the War of Resistance against Japan which is divided into three stages that are Late Qing Dynasty and Early Republic of China, May 4th Movement to the failure of Nationalist Revolution and the decade before the War of Resistance against Japan.Part II Analysis of the Ecological Environment for the Newspaper Industry of Sichuan in the Period. This part focuses on the subjective and objective development base of Sichuan newspaper industry, and mainly discusses the political background and journalistic policies and regulations, financial situation and cultural factors which constitute the ecological environment closely related to the development of Sichuan Newspaper industry.Part III Research on the Newspaper Industry of Sichuan in the Period ( Section One ). This part mainly explores the general situation of the newspaper industry of Sichuan in the Period. Firstly, this part gives a picture of development of Sichuan newspaper industry in such period through two groups of data, and points out the Sichuan newspaper industry has gained remarkable achievements, rapidly evolving into a core of Chinese newspaper industry from a local newspaper industry during the Period. Then, it specifically analyzes the Sichuan newspaper industry in such period in accordance with an approach of mainly introducing typical newspaper publishers and their newspapers based on the classification and regions to make case study combined with deriving historic facts through relevant issues.Part IV Research on the Newspaper Industry of Sichuan in the Period ( Section Two ). This part mainly analyzes the characteristics, functions and influences of Sichuan newspaper industry during such Period from two perspectives of the Analysis on Newspaper Level and the War of Resistance against Japan and the Foundation of China (抗战建国) and the Analysis on Newspaper Publisher Level and Operation Management.Conclusion. This part briefly reviews the general situation of Sichuan newspaper industry during such Period, and specifies that the prosperity of Sichuan newspaper industry during such Period is an abnormal development course, raising some issues that need to be considered further.
