After breaking out of Anti-Japanese War, the always developed eastern coastal area of vocational education of our country subsided quickly, the supply and demand contradictions of all kinds of professional technicians were very conspicuous. Sichuan and other western regions were the strategic renewed base of our country, it was their duty-bound responsibility and glorious task to offer a large number of secondary professional technicians for the war and construction. In order to finish this arduous task, government and professional education circle of Sichuan carried on enormous efforts, the secondary vocational education got considerable development: trained a large number of secondary technicians for the war and national construction, and alleviated the imbalance between supply and demand of the secondary technician to a certain extent. Compared with prewar, the school and student's quantity improved by a wide range; the phenomenon that the secondary vocational school concentrated on the large and medium cities and main arteries was changed to a certain extent; secondary vocational school set up more disciplines and courses gradually. Go through eight years of the war of resistance, multiple indexes of secondary vocational education of Sichuan rose in the whole country.Because cruel reality of the war and very weak foundation prewar, there were a great deal of problems in the development of secondary vocational education of Sichuan Province in the wartime: such as the fund input could not be ensured; theschool was confused in management; teaching quality fell; vocational education was not well connected with production and construction; serious shortage of the teaching material and equipment; in the later stage of the war, the teacher's treatment of vocational school was low, the students could not get job easily.This article mainly describes the secondary vocational education of Sichuan Province in the war from the following aspects: the changes of the school and student's quantity; the institutional framework and teaching management of vocational school; students' life and employment; teachers' work and treatment; the fund that government inputted and its impact on secondary vocational education and so on.
