With the development of economy and the speeding up of the reform and opening, there are frequent communication and contacts between our country and foreign countries. As an international language, English has become a major communicating tool. More and more parents have realized the importance of English and sent their children to school to learn English as early as possible. At present, English, as a second language, has been made universal among school education, including primary school and middle school. Needless to say, children are significant learning groups.Children differ from adults in many aspects due to their special physical, cognitive and psychological development, which result in exceptional problems in English learning process. During the long time English teaching process, the writer has found that the result of children's English learning has been deeply influenced by their teachers and parents. At present, our country's foreign language teaching lays stress on imbuing knowledge to students, always neglects the effect of interaction between teachers, parents and children on children's English learning.Based on the present situation of our English teaching, combined with the writer's teaching experience and analysis of data, the thesis tries to analyze the relationship between teachers, parents and children, discuss the influence of interaction among them on children's English learning and then propose some suggestions for effective teaching and learning.The whole thesis consists of seven chapters. The introductory part introduces the importance of learning English and the present situation of children's English in our country; points out some disadvantages in children's English teaching and learning process; and then draws forth the necessity of interaction between teachers, parents and children which foreshadows the following discussions.In Chapter Two, the earlier and up-to-date findings on children's English learning are reviewed. It states difficulties and problems encountered by children in English learning process, exemplifies factors that influence children's English learning. Then, according to the above mentioned situation, it puts forward the definition and features of interaction, in other words, profited interaction between teachers, parents and children to solve the problems.Chapter Three, Chapter Four and Chapter Five are the main parts of the paper. They state the interaction between teachers and children, parents and children, teachers and parents individually. Each part gives explanations to advantages and disadvantages that exist in the children's English teaching and learning process. According to that, the writer puts forward some suggestions for changing traditional teaching method and strengthening interaction between teachers, parents and children.Chapter Six is an experimental part of the thesis; it mainly uses the method of case study to analyze problems. It first puts forward hypothesis according to the above mentioned thoughts; and furthermore, formulates research methodology and purpose based on the hypothesis.The purpose of the paper is to make the majority of primary school English teachers fully realize the importance of the interaction between teachers, parents and children in children's English learning process; understand effective teaching methods for children. We try to solve some problems encountered by children; meanwhile, we propose some reasonable suggestions for children's English teaching and learning in order to improve children's effective English learning.
