Ci,as a literary form different from poem, has its own unique aesthetic character. After limiting the character, the thesis concluded that though started at Sui-tang Dynasty ,it was not until the Late Tang and Wudai period that Ci formed its own special inner aesthetic character and stepped to independence, thus had been a new literary form distinguished from traditional poetry. The thesis transformed the former researchers'angle focused on the relation between music and literary to a new angle-the literary form, and looked the whole middle and late Tang Dynasty as an organic period of poetry development. Putting the literary form development of Ci under the background ,the thesis comes to an conclusion that in the middle and late Tang Dynasty, linguistic revolution of poetry, openup of the heart world and newly-change of poetry style gave impetus to the mature and independence of Ci.Comparatively, the linguistic philosophy of poets in the prosperous period of Tang Dynasty was that language couldn't fully express thoughts. Thus the poetry language was almost implied and undirected. While until to the late Tang Dynasty, poets'language philosophy was that language was able to fully express thoughts and they had confidence in the expressive ability of the language. They devoted to the revolution of poetry language so that lots of sayings were used in poems and language structure and rhetorical ways were released and newly changed. All these gave impetus to the formation of special aestheticism of Ci. On the other hand, the poets in the middle and late Tang Dynasty probed deeply into the artistic conception of poetry and made it from extension to implication, made the thoughts of poetry inclined to deeply emotion, which directly facilitated the being of artistic conception of Ci.
